Why do governments get overthrown?

Most likely because of corruption that detoriates their strength and when they become so weak that they cannot protect their own people they are no longer worthy of being in control and need to be overthrown. Or maybe another answer is the people are so corrupt they can no longer be governed and so it weakens the government so that it becomes easy to overthrow. That is my humble but accurate opinion:-)
