There's this dance and there's this boy?

okay, there's this boy and there's this dance. I have a crush on this guy but i do not know if he feels the same. we don't know each other but he is very polite. he would greet me and smile at me and i would smile at him too. his friend asked me to this dance and i said no. i was pretty much desperate to find out who he is taking so i subtly ask his friend. i found out that he is taking this girl from another school. after a question, his friend started to get suspicious asking me why i wanted to know. What do i do? i like this guy and he's taking someone else. is there a chance he likes me too?
